WARFIGHTER COMMUNICATIONS OPERATIONS - 17DX
This job requires military service with a contract as a commissioned officer in the Air Force Reserve. The application is for a specific position within the Air Force Reserve.
Cyberspace is a 24/7 battle and has a direct impact on every mission—on the ground and in the sky. Your responsibilities in Warfighter Communications Operations will cover the planning, supervision and security of an array of Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) computers, operations and tracking systems, all of which are integral to keeping our systems and equipment secure from intrusion and optimized to meet mission objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Translate operational requirements into architectural and technical solutions.
- Conduct and supervise technological research and advise commanders on
- associated risks and mitigation factors.
- Direct extension, adaptation, employment, reconfiguration and creation of
- portions of cyberspace.
- Develop plans and policies and monitor operations.

Qualifications
Select full-time opportunities may be available for fully-qualified candidates seeking to affiliate from the active duty Air Force. Full-time opportunities for this role vary by location. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with an undergraduate or graduate education related to computer science, computer engineering or information technology is desirable but not required.
- Prior service 1B4 or 1N4X1A commissioning Airmen, and equivalent career fields in other services, will be accepted regardless of undergraduate degree possessed.
- Commission as an officer in the Air Force Reserve
- Eligibility for a top-secret security clearance
