Job Summary:
Create, update, review, organize, and maintain technical documentation to ensure accuracy, usability, and compliance with current systems, procedures, and cybersecurity requirements. Support documentation efforts across technology platforms used by the organization.

Education and Experience:
• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field
• Two years' experience documenting IT systems, configurations, or support procedures
• Two years’ experience using Microsoft Office Suite and document control tools
Essential Duties:
• Develop and maintain system user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), quick reference guides, and process maps for IT systems and support services
• Interface with the IT Manager and Human Resources to validate technical content and ensure documentation reflects current procedures and controls
• Apply configuration management principles to track documentation changes, version history, and approval workflows
• Assist in documenting system rollouts, migrations, and updates, including stakeholder communication and training materials
• Maintain a repository of all technical documentation and ensure appropriate access control based on clearance level and role
• Coordinate with the IT Manager to incorporate required security controls and monitoring procedures into system documentation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong technical writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex systems into user-friendly documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with SharePoint or Confluence preferred
• Basic understanding of IT system architecture, cybersecurity protocols, and configuration management
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and version-control skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating with cross-functional IT and security teams
• Capable of interpreting technical data, interviewing subject matter experts, and consolidating information into clear written formats
