Position Summary
Metrea Recruiters are true business partners; driven by finding, attracting, and hiring top talent aligned with Metrea’s mission and values while being equally strategic, scrappy, and resourceful. As a candidate’s point of contact with Metrea, you’ll act as a talent ambassador. With hiring and business leaders, you’re a consultative thought partner, working to provide industry insight while driving process optimization and hiring outcomes.
As a Principal Recruiter, you’ll be looked to for senior-level strategic talent acquisition and shaping our hiring strategies, while being a pivotal partner in hiring some of the most critical Leadership and Specialized roles across our Executive and Support Capability Groups. You’ll be the bridge between senior leaders, day-to-day recruiting activities, and helping the TA function achieve long-term objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Full Lifecyle Recruiting: Drive the full recruiting process including sourcing, screening, process definition, interviewing, evaluating and offer negotiation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Leverage a consultative approach with hiring managers and business leaders while eagerly learning the business and educating on best practices of talent attraction.
- Tenacious Sourcing & Pipelining: Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality candidates, with a focus on Leadership and Specialty roles and a demonstrated ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences.
- Deliver World Class Candidate Experience: Engage and nurture relationships with candidates and prospects using empathy and transparency, ensuring they’re aligned with Metrea’s mission and values.
- Market Expert: Conduct thorough market research to identify key talent pools and stay updated on industry trends that impact sourcing strategies.
- Tools & Technology: Maintain accuracy within ATS/recruiting tools and effectively leverage these tools to deliver results.
- Data-driven Approach: Leverage data and critical thinking to diagnose challenges and drive search strategies.
- People-team Partner and Mentor: Work effectively with partners across the People Team and maintain a mentorship capacity with your TA colleagues.
Skills and Experience
- Rooted in Humility: You value the universal over the personal. Maximizing what you know, skeptically filtering what you believe you know, and further limiting what you project to know.
- Proven Experience: Previous experience as a Principal or Senior Recruiter in a similar role. Bonus if in the defense/aerospace industry, but not required.
- Sourcing Expertise: Strong knowledge of sourcing tools, techniques, and platforms to identify and attract top talent.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, credibility, and influence stakeholders and candidates alike.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of US (primary) talent markets, including key talent pools and industry trends.
- Detail-Oriented, Systematic approach: Strong attention to detail with a process-driven approach to sourcing and candidate management.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different teams and time zones.
