Group Overview
Air Mobility Group (AIRMOB) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea’s aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities, ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the tanker fleet. AIRMOB oversees fleet management, maintenance, and airworthiness, working to sustain and enhance refueling operations. It manages the integration of new processes and technologies, ensuring that tanker aircraft remain mission-ready through effective logistics, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance. By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.
Position Summary
Support AIRMOB aircraft maintenance team to understand the operational considerations of the C-135FR by means of academic and hands on instruction as needed. Work alongside AIRMOB maintenance department and staff so they have the knowledge base to safely maintain the C-135FR. Adhere to strict regulatory guidelines set by aviation authorities, such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). They must undergo comprehensive training and obtain the necessary certifications to demonstrate their competency in specific aircraft types or systems. Their meticulous work and attention to detail contribute to aircraft's overall safety and reliability, playing a critical role in the aviation industry.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct On-Hand training with personnel on modifications/differences between KC-135 and C-135FR.
- Conduct On-Hand training with personnel on how to properly maintain a C-135FR.
- Conduct proper breakdown of operation systems.
- Be the maintenance Subject Matter Expert for the C-135FR Aircraft Fleet.
- Knowledgeable of how to properly conduct troubleshooting for C-135FR Aircraft.
- Knowledgeable of Special tooling, equipment, and testing equipment required for system repairs.
- Support Logistics in the identification of Vendors and overhaul of parts.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert advice on future aircraft modifications and upgrades.
- Provide historical knowledge on past modifications.
- Provide on-call technical support to Maintenance personnel.
- All other duties that support C-135FR Fleet integration.
Skills and Experience
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 9+ years working with the C-135FR aircraft, towing, jacking, and hazardous material use, storage, and disposal.
- Proven and demonstrable attention to detail skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, being able to determine causes of errors and deciding on the course of action to solve.
- Comprehensive understanding of company philosophy and processes.
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to read and understand the information presented in writing, diagrams, and schematics.
- Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Word and Excel)
Certifications
- A&P of FRA66 – Required license or FAA/EASA equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current Passport
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Maintain all applicable medical and flight certifications
- Avionic FRA 66 License with C-135FR and/or KC-135RG type rating

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, typical working hours are 7-hour days including 45-60 day rotations abroad. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.
Work Location
Primary work location is in France, with frequent international rotations abroad.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting, on the flightline, and onboard an aircraft.
Travel
Domestic and International Travel will be required approximately 49% of the time on a 45-60 day rotational basis.
